Membership-based Skincare Studio for Gen Z and Millennials Expands with 2 locations in Phoenix

Membership-based Skincare Studio for Gen Z and Millennials Expands with 2 locations in Phoenix

FACIAL COLLECTIVE is excited to welcome Melissa and Michael Lyon as the newest operating partners. The first-of-its-kind skin care studio, facial collective is setting its sights on expanding across the U.S. with the next 2 locations coming to Phoenix, AZ. The first Phoenix buildout is set to be completed in Fall of 2024, marking an impressive milestone for the brand.

“Until recently, the choices of receiving expert face care have been either underwhelming with a sub-par customer experience and results or over-the-top, med spa-type experience offering skincare treatments that are often unnecessary and too expensive for the Gen Z and Millennial consumer," says facial collective CEO and founding Jan Zalud. "We are building a boutique fitness for face care with our membership-first model, while making professional skincare accessible, unintimidating and enjoyable. We are in the business of empowering people, so they feel good in their own, naturally beautiful skin. Healthy and beautiful skin doesn’t mean one must spend thousands of dollars to augment. To us, it means creating a healthy routine that has long-lasting results and is relaxing and rejuvenating.”

Operating partners Melissa and Michael Lyon are set to open the 2 facial collective locations in Phoenix. "When Mike and I learned about facial collective and the prospect of bringing attainable, healthy, result-driven skincare to everyone in Phoenix, we wanted to be a part of the movement. For us, it was crucial to join a brand we believe in," Melissa expressed. "FC is supported by an extraordinary leadership team that is fired up to make a splash in the skincare industry. We are so thrilled to bring facial collective to our community!"

After a proven track record as a Sales Executive and working as a licensed esthetician and certified laser technician, Melissa found herself ready to invest in a skincare concept that was truly focused on member experience, effective results and was accessible to everyone on a regular basis. Michael and Melissa’s decision to invest in facial collective reinforces the brand’s potential to disrupt the skincare industry as it fills the gap between low-end “fast facial” services and luxury med spas.

“Melissa and Michael are a power couple who understood quickly what we are about. Skincare can be overwhelming and often expensive which prevents people from building the right habits. We are changing that, and Melissa and Michael understood that from the moment we got connected. They are the perfect couple to spearhead our growth in the Phoenix market,” says Jan.

Franchising Done Differently

As facial collective franchises, it is establishing a better model for everyone involved. It is a true partnership, where both franchisees and the franchisors work collaboratively to succeed and innovate. “From our own experiences as multi-unit/multi-brand franchisees and area developers, we have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in membership-based franchising models. You can’t teach experience and we’ve learned a lot in the past years, which included navigating Covid pandemic. We understand what works, what doesn’t and how delicate franchisee/franchisor relationship can be. Our operating partners are paramount as facial collective ventures into disrupting the skincare space, and the decision to welcome new partners is always carefully considered.

Membership-Based Model

Known as “the healthy habit you look forward to every month,” service at facial collective is not just a luxury—it’s routine skincare. The membership-based model is not just about predictable revenue to franchisees and healthy returns on the investment, but it also simplifies the often complex and overwhelming world of skincare for the consumer. More importantly, affordable membership encourages commitment and habit which is key to healthy skin, while creating more loyalty, longer consumer lifecycles. It is a win-win-win!

Expert Support

The leadership at facial collective has tested, re-tested, researched, negotiated, and executed in order to provide support every step of the way. As franchisees themselves, they’ve seen what works and what doesn’t in franchising. The team has extensive investment and operational expertise spanning various membership-based wellness, beauty, and fitness franchise brands as well as finance and real-estate experience.
